Offering a Sleep Apnea Awareness Lecture at The Meridian at Anaheim Hills (A Retirement Community)

Sleep Apnea occurs when a person stops breathing in the middle of the night due to the blockage of the airway. A lack of oxygen to the brain results in a lack of deep sleep and increased health risks. Sleep Apnea is a very common, deadly killer of Americans and often goes un-diagnosed or misdiagnosed as simply snoring.

As part of the effort to increase awareness of the risks of untreated sleep apnea, and to increase awareness of CPAP alternatives, Genuine Family Dentistry is presenting a fun, free and informative lecture for the residents of the Meridian in Anaheim Hills on May 25th, 2016.

Supporting Relay For Life with Free Appointments (Limitations Apply)

Imagine thousands of flickering candles, set side to side, surrounding a track. Each candle symbolizes the loss of a loved one, or the hope that a loved one will be cured from cancer. The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life movement raises much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer. Genuine Family Dentistry will be participating in this year’s Relay for Life of Anaheim Hills on Saturday, May 3rd, at Canyon High School in Anaheim, CA. Because everyone has been affected by cancer in one way or another, and because cancer never sleeps, Relay For Life participants stay up all night and walk the track in order to gather donations that go towards cancer research. Dr. Paul Athanasius, his staff, as well as family members and friends will be participating to support the cause.The goal is to have someone walk the track for a 24 hour period. If you cannot attend, you can still support cancer awareness and research at www.relayforlife.org
